STUDENT RESEARCH
Let’s build something
worth sharing.
ACT → MEASURE → LEARN → IMPROVE
Participation, outcomes and student feedback can make each project better.
What brings students into an impact project? We want to learn, not guess.
With Dr. Calvin Lakhan’s guidance, we’re developing a study of peer-to-peer engagement and student participation. If approved, students could help gather and examine the evidence, then explain what they learned as part of their club experience.
Research question
To what extent does peer-to-peer engagement appear to influence student awareness and participation in a school-based social or environmental impact initiative?
How would the study work?
We would compare peer referrals with routes such as school announcements, posters and the website. The responses could reveal patterns, but cannot prove what caused someone to participate. Findings could help the wider community choose better outreach approaches.
Formal research activity, use of student responses and analysis require applicable school and research ethics approvals and consent.
